In March 2014 we were contacted by KROONENBERG GROEP, asking us to develop 80 parking lots for a future supermarket at the Molukkenstraat 200-308 (Amsterdam). Soon it turned out that there wasn’t enough space. Heyligers d+p came with a new concept whereby, by means of a ramp, the amount of parking lots could be realized: Parking on the roof! After a long and extensive procedure to obtain the needed conctruction licences and permits, and after a thoroughly renovation of both the building, the surrounding environment as well as a redivision of the entrance the Albert Heijn finally opened it’s new store today!
Covering 3500 m2, this Albert Heijn is the largest supermarket in the disctrict (Amsterdam oost).
